Victoria's Secret Fall Jackets

If you would have asked me five years ago if I would ever fall in love with an item of clothing that was mustard yellow, I would have wrinkled my nose in response. The truth is that I AM in love, and I must have this jacket!

If I'm being honest, I would tell you that I have never liked Victoria's Secret clothing. I love their bras, but I always remembered their clothes as being slinky and skin baring pieces that were made for the models that wore them. I recently received their newest catalog, and when flipping through the pages I stumbled across this Button-up wool trenchcoat, ($129, VictoriasSecret.com) which made me see the brand in a whole new light. It comes in 6 other colors, but I cannot get this yellow one out of my mind! Fall wedding attire

I married into an Irish family, and between Aunts, Uncles and Cousins it is literally 130 people large, which means A LOT of weddings! My little black dress can only be worn so many times, so that being said it was time to upgrade my cocktail wardrobe.

I recently rocked this dress by Max and Cleo ($148, Dillards.com) with a silver and black bib necklace from Forever 21, along with a rhinestone bangle and Jessica Simpson black patent platform pumps. I am loving gun metal dresses at the moment.

Next on my wish list is this ferosh BCBGMAXAZRIA One Shoulder Satin Cocktail Dress. ($248, Nordstroms.com) Purple is such a great color, and I love the extra pizazz with the gold detailing on the shoulder.

I am a HUGE fan of the website MyShape.com. I've pretty much vetoed online shopping because it's extremely rare that something I purchase from the internet is going to fit me like a glove, but this website has taken out all the guesswork. After entering in all of your measurements, this website will give you tons (almost 100!) of already put together outfits for you, along with pick out the size that you would wear for each designer. Below is one of the outfits I've been drooling over, but it's a bit over my budget. I decided to find similar clothing for less to achieve this look:

Fashion That Has Staying Power

I am a huge fan of designers that put a spin on classic pieces that can be worn for years to come. I'm always expanding my horizons and trying new things, but when it comes down to it I always end up right back where I started: to figure flattering styles that I can wear at 20, 30, 40, and so on.

My favorite designer of the moment is Milly. While at-the-moment trends are still available, they put a spin on a lot of the classic designs that I love.
